LuxteL llc Attends Largest Medical Trade Show in the World - Medica 2010

Danvers, MA - For the 9th year in a row, LuxteL attended the Medica trade show in Dusseldorf, Germany. The show ran from November 17th to the 20th and was attended by over 137,500 visitors who viewed over 19,000 medical products and technologies. Dusseldorf's Medica is the largest medical trade show in the world.

At this year's show, LuxteL unveiled their new LED lighting product, a Surgical Overhead Lighting Fixture featuring a 10-100% dimming range and the ability to add red light to lower the computed radiography CR value. LuxteL's new item was positively received and already has a large volume of sales. LuxteL's CeraLux ceramic xenon line of lamps also generated a lot of buzz this year, especially with confirmation of PerkinElmer's lighting sector being sold. The rebranding of products by PerkinElmer's new owners makes LuxteL's brand the longest standing recognized name in the business; an honor which LuxteL takes very seriously.

LuxteL participated in the show this year through the USA CEO Pavilion, which provides businesses with a private meeting area, concierge services and a student interpreter. Paul Beech, Managing Member of LuxteL said, "Due to the volume of present and potential customers that visit with us during the four day show, I prefer attending through the CEO Pavilion, as the set up allows for a quiet surrounding in which to discuss business, whereas the traditional booth is so constantly busy with "stop & see" traffic that it becomes difficult to conduct business in a professional manner."

By attending the show, LuxteL can visit with customers from all corners of the globe with the cost of just one plane ticket, providing LuxteL with cost savings which are ultimately passed on to LuxteL's valued customers. Now offering direct online sales of their medical xenon lamps, both existing and prospective customers of LuxteL can benefit from the extensive list of advantages that come with buying LuxteL 's products online, directly from the manufacturer. Ordering direct from LuxteL provides customers with access to pricing that is significantly lower than that of distributors or the original equipment manufacturer.

Danvers, MA - LuxteL llc, a quality manufacturer of reliable illumination products made in the USA, announces that, with the recent sale of their only remaining manufacturing competitor, LuxteL is now the oldest recognized name in the Ceramic Lighting business.

Since April 2001, LuxteL has manufactured a wide range of lamps that are compatible with medical lighting produced by Olympus, Storz, Stryker, Wolf, Luxtec, Fujinon, Pentax and many more. What customers don't realize is that when they buy Lamps from Alpha Source, Bulbman, Bulbtronics, Cadmet, Interlight or numerous other distributors or Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), it is likely they are using a LuxteL product. LuxteL's products are extremely durable, offering better color rendition and eliminating environmental concerns associated with other lighting techniques. LuxteL's narrow market focus upon "image illumination" combined with their small size has enabled them to remain nimble and true to their mission its mission to provide customers with the best value and speed of service in the industry. Most importantly, customers should know that quality is not compromised for cost in LuxteL's design; they have engineered their costs out of the company from the beginning.

Now offering direct online sales of their CeraLux xenon ceramic lamps, both existing and prospective customers of LuxteL can benefit from the advantages of buying LuxteL's products online, directly from the manufacturer. All of LuxteL's products can be purchased online and are in stock, so customers can get all of their lamps and lighting accessories when they need them. Plus, LuxteL's products are backed with a solid warranty, promising to match or exceed the original OEM's standards.

Paul Beech, Managing Member of LuxteL, is optimistic about the company's current status in the industry, stating, "As the longest standing name in the industry, we understand the responsibility we have to provide customers with the highest quality products at the best cost. LuxteL takes this responsibility anything but lightly."

Press Release

Sept. 1st, 2009

OptiLux is the next generation fiber optic illuminator brought to you by LuxteL; a leader in the field of fiber optic illumination. The OptiLux is a LED device well suited for several platforms. It utilizes a single large area LED chip, custom collection optics that brilliantly couple light into 3- to 6mm fiber optic bundles, a heat sink and fan, linear intensity control and an AC power supply. The OptiLux was developed to replace older technologies; specifically halogen and metal halide lamps and their associated problems with changes in color temperature due to intensity setting and age. The new LED device also eliminates the life and safety disposal issues with the pass mercury lamps.

The OptiLux is designed to be a perfect partner in medical video camera illumination, endoscopy, microscope illumination and UV illumination for photo sensitive chemical reactions such as UV curing and dental whitening.

The major benefits of the OptiLux are its ability to reduce power consumption by up to 50% and long life; up to 45,000 hours chip life leading to reduced cost of ownership. No significant wavelengths are generated outside the desired range, making wavelengths and color temperature tailored for your application. The front panel displays the intensity and has soft tactile up / down buttons providing total intensity control ranging from 10 to 100%. An 8ft by 5mm fiber cable provides 130K lux when pumped by a white (6000k) chip.

The OptiLux is portable and very low cost compared to traditional illuminators. LuxteL is pleased to add the OptiLux medical unit to a wide range of well established Isolux products. FDA approval is expected during Q4 of '09 following 510K application.

LuxteL welcomes OEM inquiries.

New Camera System, TriLux

LuxteL is proud to launch their new range of camera products containing several firsts.

There is a growing trend in ORs to record surgeries for teaching, patient outcome improvements and to document patient treatment. To facilitate this we offer these three new cameras, reasonably priced with a common control unit and a common illuminator.

The CardioVu is a small camera encapsulated by optical fibers which bring xenon light and camera directly to the field of surgery, where they are clamped via a goose neck clamp to a retractor. The advantages are that the site is continuously in view at all times (not just when the surgeon is illuminating the field), the image is parallax free since the light and camera are concentrically placed, and the surgeon does not suffer from neck fatigue during long procedures. The EndoVu is a universal Endoscopic camera for fixation to many of the rigid endoscopes in use today. The LuxVu is a headlight camera, mounted with fiber optic xenon illumination. At less than one ounce this offers the most comfortable and the most powerful head set in the industry.

A further advantage comes from the commonality of the controller and illuminator, allowing surgery centers to have a wide selection of inexpensive video and xenon lighting solutions, and with all the flexibility of more dedicated equipment without loss in performance.
